Claims Management

The claims process is the ultimate test of any insurance arrangements and as such this is an important and integral part of our service. We have an experienced and dedicated team to manage the whole process on behalf of our clients.
 
We are in constant contact with insurers to ensure our clients claims are dealt with speedily, efficiently and accurately. 

It is important that you comply with all of your policy conditions and you should familiarise yourself with their requirements.

  1. In the event of any occurrence which may give rise to a claim please notify us as soon as possible.

  2. Notify the police immediately if it becomes evident that the damage has been caused by a criminal or malicious act. Request and make a note of the Crime Reference Number.

  3. If immediate action is required to prevent further damage, insurers will usually consider the costs of any necessary and reasonable emergency repair work, provided the underlying claim is covered by the policy

To report a claim please telephone one of the team mentioned below or send us an email by using the claims notification “Quick Link” to the right of this page and one of our claims team will contact you as soon as possible.

If you need claims assistance from your insurer out of office hours, please refer to your policy documents for their Claims Helpline telephone number. Please only use this helpline number if you feel you cannot wait to speak with a member of our team during office hours.

If you are contacting us by telephone please be ready to give us the following details

  • Your name, address and contact telephone number
  • Policy number
  • The cause and extent of the loss or damage
  • The date of the incident

Depending on the nature of the claim additional information will be sought to ensure the insurer has all the information to consider the claim, such as:

  • There may be a requirement for two comparative estimates for the repair works.
  • For water damage claims confirmation that the source of the leak has been rectified.
  • If the claim involves personal injury or damage to third party property, the names and addresses of all parties involved or responsible for the incident will be required, including details of injuries and names and address of any witnesses.

The insurers’ decision is always discussed with clients as quickly as possible.
